EWA Awards 2017: simply the best!

Alpamare Saidia is a
fantastic new waterpark
on the Mediterranean coast of Morocco, opening in summer
2017. A great selection of waterslides, a huge wave pool, a
relaxing lazy river, different splash and play areas for children
and various F&B outlets provide the ideal setting for an
exciting day.

Also this year, the European Waterpark Association will bestow two
awards for outstanding innovations in services and the marketing
of waterparks and spas.

Saidia is a newly established resort on the longest beach of
Morocco, with a number of new 4 and 5* hotels, apartment
buildings, a large Marina and 2 golf courses.

The application criteria are broadly defined as follows:

The waterpark is owned by SDS (Société de Développement de
Saďdia), a subsidiary of CDG (Caisse de dépot et de gestion),
a state-owned financial institution which manages long-term
savings in Morocco.

Although the use of electronic security systems in waterparks and
spas is subject to legal constraints, new systems have a growing
significance in (video-) monitoring and controlling. The EWA's
technology network deals with this topic in expert talks and is at
the same time a forum for the exchange of experiences.

EWA Marketing Award: You can submit your marketing concepts
for your spa. Appropriate for the application are examples of
a comprehensive, complete marketing concept and corporate
design, as well as individual promotions, e.g. special advertising
campaigns, online presentations, and event concepts.
EWA Professional Award: For this award, innovative designs for
spas can be submitted. This includes the design of entire complexes
which have been recently opened or extended / renovated, as well
as single offers, new spa attractions and technical innovations
which have had positive effects on the business.
All spas that are members of the European Waterpark Association
are eligible to apply. Closing date for applications is 31 July 2017
(date of postmark or receipt of email applies).
A specialist jury, which has the right of nomination, will choose
the winners in August 2017. The award ceremony will take place
as part of the stand reception at the FSB/aquanale 9 November
2017 in Cologne. All participants will receive a certificate and
the winners will also receive a trophy. They agree to present
their prize-winning contributions at the meeting of the marketing
network or another thematically suitable seminar.

The waterpark is managed by Alpamare Waterpark and the
Belive hotel group. Both companies have strong operational
know-how in their respective areas, as well as significant
local experience.


You are responsible to keep the park profitable, safe and
enjoyable for all guests. Reporting to the operating board and
working hand in hand with the operators, you will manage all
aspects of the organization.
In your role, you can draw on the operational and local market
experience of Alpamare waterpark management and Belive
hotels (who operate a 5* Beach hotel next to the waterpark).


Several years of experience in managing waterparks
or comparable visitor attractions
Have a passion for delivering great service to our
guests every day, and strive to continuously-evolve
and enhance the operation
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and
be able to deal with and resolve guest issues
The ability to work under pressure and `think
on your feet'
Willingness to work in Morocco for at least 9
months / year as an Expatriate
Fluent in French and English; Spanish and/or Arabic
would be an asset
